Rod of incident The Lake (1989)

The bar incident was a serious case of soccer hooliganism, which took place on September 27, 1989 at the Ajax stadium De Meer. During an Ajax home match against Austria Wien, Austrian goalkeeper Franz Wohlfahrt was hit by an iron bar that had been thrown onto the pitch from the F-Side section. Ajax lost regulation and was barred from European soccer matches for a year. The FCK memorial team was able to acquire the original rod at an auction in Halfweg.
